Joni is one busy lady!
Joni serves as associate director of media relations for the University of Idaho, her alma mater. In that capacity, she is responsible for building awareness of the university's people and programs through strategic communication planning and media placement. She manages the university's news distribution; writes news releases and feature articles; handles media relations; places experts in national, regional and local media; writes talking points for the president and other administrators; and ensures the seamless integration of communications and marketing.
She also does a lot of volunteer work with church. She teaches first and second grade Sunday School, is on the Women's Ministries Counsel, reads scripture or makes other announcements during church service, and provides other assistance as needed.
Ever the mother of twins, she also is an active member of Miracle Bonus Mothers of Multiples (in Spokane, Wash.) -- including "Mother of the Year in 2006, and is the webmaster and publicity chair for the Northwest Association of Mothers of Twins Clubs.
In her free time, she likes to garden, read, solve sodoku puzzles and sing with the radio.
